Honoring Pregnancy & Infant Loss Awareness Month
October is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month, and October 15th marks the National Day of Remembrance... a day to honor, remember, and hold space for families who have experienced the unimaginable pain of losing a pregnancy or a baby.
Pregnancy and infant loss is more common than many realize. In the U.S., about 1 in 4 pregnancies ends in loss, yet so many families grieve in silence. These losses carry deep emotional weight, and too often, parents feel alone in their pain. By acknowledging this month, we shine a light on their stories and remind those who are grieving that their love, their loss, and their babies matter.
To anyone who has experienced pregnancy or infant loss please know that your grief is real, and your journey matters. You are not alone! May this month be a gentle reminder that your story deserves to be seen and held with compassion.
Join the Wave of Light on October 15th by lighting a candle at 7 PM in remembrance of all the little lives gone too soon. Together, we can keep their light shining.
With love and gentleness,
~Karen B.
